Firmware Release: NGCR Readers   

Acre security is pleased to announce the delivery release of AR/VR 10-40 Firmware version 2.005.006 and AR/VR 20-50 Firmware version 2.003.006. The software can be downloaded from our Products site under the Software-tab for each reader.

What’s new? 

Support for the following features have been added to the firmware. See release notes for full details. 

• JCOP Support: Support added for JCOP2 & 3 card formats. JCOP2 is tested & verified whereas JCOP3 is expected to work. 
• LED Light Frame control over OSDP: New commands added for OSDP communication, allowing the reader to accept commands from the Access Control System, to set the color of the LED Light Frame similar to what is possible with configuration cards. Requires support in the attached Access Control System.
  
• AR/VR 20-50: Reader Firmware Upgrade over OSDP (SiPass): Added similar support for reader firmware upgrade through SiPass Integrated, which is already available for the AR/VR 10-40.
  
• V2.004.005 Backwards compatibility for read data: Added engineering option to set compatibility with release firmware v2.004.005 for non-multiples of 8 bits of credential data.
