Phase Out Intention: SPC Evo to replace SPC Gen 1 Controller Series

Dear Customer,

After nearly 15 years and more than 250,000 units sold, the SPC Gen 1 Controller Series will be phased out starting June 2025. For a full list of products please see the below chart. It has been replaced by the SPCevo Controller Series which has been built on the strength of the SPC Gen 1 Controller but with additional benefits including:

- On demand license upgrades to expand the available controller capabilities

- A web-based commissioning wizard for installer friendly installation and commissioning processes

- An additional 30V/2A relay for free configuration purposes

- Stronger PSUs that, depending on controller version, can deliver +222% for Grade 2 panel variants and +333% for Grade 3 variants

The SPCevo controller series is fully compatible with existing X-BUS periphery devices, acre’s Two-Way Wireless portfolio, with all 3rd party integration based on EDP v2 and FlexC protocol. It is also fully supported by both acre’s Intrusion Connect services and associated service module (acre Intrusion mobile app).

For seamless installer and user experiences, the SPCevo leverages the same user GUI and programming philosophy to ensure hassle free onboarding and remove the need for extensive re-training.

We are confident that acre’s SPCevo controller services will outperform its predecessor as it combines the flexibility and robustness of the SPC Gen 1 series with updated hardware and power powerful supply units.
