Customer Guide for Replacing Upgraded SPCevo Controllers
Introduction
This guide explains the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process for SPCevo controllers that have been upgraded using a license voucher.

If a controller that has been upgraded subsequently develops a hardware fault and requires replacement, additional information is needed to ensure that the correct replacement controller and corresponding upgrade license are provided.
Following the steps in this guide will help ensure a fast and smooth replacement process.
Before You Submit an RMA
When submitting an RMA request for an upgraded controller, please ensure you have the following information available:

Step 1 – Create the RMA Request
Contact your distributor or value-added distributor (VAD) and submit an RMA request for the defective controller.

Step 2 – Distributor Review
Your distributor will review the submitted information and verify the RMA request.
The distributor may contact you if additional information is required.
Step 3 – Receive Replacement Hardware
Once the RMA has been accepted, your distributor will provide:
A replacement controller
A replacement upgrade voucher matching the functionality previously enabled on the defective controller
This ensures that the replacement unit can be upgraded to the same functionality as the original installation.
Step 4 – Install and Upgrade the Replacement Unit
After receiving the replacement hardware:
Install the replacement controller.
Apply the new upgrade voucher provided by the distributor.
Restore the site configuration as required.
Why the Serial Number Is Important

Failure to provide the serial number may lead to delays in processing the replacement request.
