we would like to inform you that the temporary shipment block for the AIC-1200 has been removed.
Issue:
In rare cases the battery cable might become loose from the PCB connector after a pull test with a moderate pull force.
Corrective actions:
Corrective actions has been initiated to avoid further incidents - (cable isolation length increased from 3mm to 5mm, screw torque adjustment)
How to identify a potential affected AIC- Controller?
Please check the serial number which is visible on packing label or on the product itself.
Affected AIC-1200 controllers can be identified by the serial number:
If the serial number is smaller than 0000221-130 (130 stands for the AIC-1200 controller series), the respective controller might be affected.
Pull test: Pull gently on the battery cable leads to check if they became loose.
Next steps:
Customers with serial number smaller than 0000221-130 could use our existing RMA process to ship affected products back to acre.
Alternatively, security professionals might want to resolve the issue while on site by increasing the cable isolation length from 3mm to 5mm and center the cable in the PCB battery socket and tighten the screws with a moderate torch.
