Acre Security is pleased to announce the release of Omnis 7.5 and Omnis REST API, a new software extension for the core software.

Two new products are to be released in conjunction with Omnis 7.5 and will be available shortly.

The maximum number of TCP/IP-connections has been increased from 700 to 1.000.
The maximum number of Geographical Areas has been increased from 200 to 1.000, to allow each connection its own Geographical Area.
The following improvements have been made for Alarm Graphics.
The dialog window for SIA Codes has been reworked to provide support for new features and easier management.
The existing support for Ethernet-connected SMS transmitters have been expanded to include RUT241. This is now reflected in the User Interface. The manual for configuration of RUT240 is updated to include instructions for RUT241.
A new REST-based interface has been implemented for external communication with the Omnis API. The module requires an external Web Server, i.e. Microsoft Internet Services (IIS).
The following improvements have been made to the standard database.

Silent Installation
To ease the installation of multiple clients at once, an option to perform a silent installation is now available. Instructions for the procedure are available in the file ClientInstaller_Instructions.txt, included in the install package.
Optional installation/uninstallation of Java components
The remaining Java-components required to run some of the DVR/NVR-integration in Omnis are removed from the default installation. However, the installation files are still included in the package, allowing those who still need Java-components on their site to install the necessary components.

The following security vulnerabilities have been adressed.
For Omnis Discovery Tool, its RapidJSON components have been updated to the latest version to resolve the following vulnerability:
Fixes in Omnis API 7.5
Corrected a scenario where setting the VIP-flag for a User via the API instead of the Operator's Program would fail to send the flag to the E100 Controller.

There are different options for upgrading to Omnis 7.5, depending on what version is available before upgrading. Once upgraded, any potential Service Packs or Hotfixes for version 7.5 will continue to be included regardless of upgrade path.
With a valid ULA
Omnis 7.5 is included in all ULA’s that were valid on the release date of Omnis 7.5 as defined in the Release Notes (2026-07-14), even if they have expired since, following regular activation process.
Puchasing new ULA
New ULA’s will include Omnis 7.5. The validity period of the ULA will begin retroactively from the creation date for the original Omnis 7.x license.
One-Time Upgrade
One-time upgrade is available from Omnis 7.x to 7.5. An additional license will once again have to be purchased to move from version 7.5 to any newer versions.
New License
Versions 6.2 and 6.3 will need a new version 7.x Base License. See below list of Base Licenses for available options.
