The new Multi-Tech Gen2 Reader is a next-generation access control reader suite designed for durability, efficiency, and flexibility. Featuring a modernized design, this platform uses a metal cast mounting plate for robust installation and  introduces four form factors, including a Mullion with Keypad being a new member of this family of readers.

This new platform represents the next evolution of acre’s reader portfolio, replacing the previous AT and ET reader ranges while maintaining compatibility with the same credentials, including mobile credentials.

Key advancements include reduced power consumption, expanded credential compatibility, an upgraded NFC chipset, improved tamper detection, and support for both modern and legacy credentials. The readers feature a terminal connector for standardized installation, with a traditional pigtail included in the packaging box.

Important remarks :

• With the introduction of the Multi-Tech Gen2 readers we are also starting with the sell out process of any remaining Gen1 readers.
• Supported RF Technologies are 13.56 MHz (NFC), 125 kHz (Prox), Bluetooth BLE 5.3 whereby Prox capabilities will be launched at a later stage with a software update.
• Out of the box the reader comes in a Mobile setup. Swapping into the Wallet setup requires an acre approved token.
