Product: acre Access Control – Gallery
We're introducing the Badge Access Level Sync Workflow — a new Gallery package that makes it easy to keep your issued badges aligned with the Access Level configuration defined on your Badge Types.
Previously, when Access Levels or Access Level Groups were added to or removed from a Badge Type, those changes were not automatically reflected on badges already issued to people. Applying those updates required manual effort and, in systems with large numbers of Access Levels, could cause performance problems.
This package resolves both issues by moving the sync process server-side and giving operators full visibility and control over what changes before anything is applied.

Preview Before You Apply
Run a Badge Access Level Sync Report or Badge Access Level Group Sync Report to see exactly which badges would be affected — and how — before committing any changes.
Apply at Scale
Sync Access Level additions and removals across all existing badges for one or more Badge Types in a single operation. The same capability is available for Access Level Groups.
Bulk Actions on Badge Types
A new bulk action is available directly from the Badge Type List widget, so you can trigger a sync without leaving your normal workflow. Bulk actions are also available from within the Sync Report grid itself, letting you target specific rows.
Scheduled Reconciliation
Set up recurring syncs to ensure issued badges continuously reflect their Badge Type definitions — ideal for large environments where drift can accumulate over time.
Why This Matters
| Before | After |
| Access Level changes on a Badge Type had to be manually propagated to existing badges | Sync is triggered with a single action across all affected badges |
| Large Access Level sets caused performance issues during local sync | Processing is handled server-side for reliable performance at scale |
| No scheduled reconciliation | Recurring syncs can be configured to run automatically |
How to Get Started
The Badge Access Level Sync Workflow is available as an installable package from the Gallery. Once installed, the sync functionality appears under the Sync Access Levels and Sync Access Level Groups tabs within the Badge Type widget.
Note: This package replaces the previous in-UI sync table for Access Levels on Badge Types.

Product: acre Access Control – Classic Client & Unified Client (UC)
acre Access Control now records audit log events whenever a badge is printed from the Badge Preview panel, across both the Classic Client and the Unified Client (UC). This gives administrators a clear, timestamped record of badge printing activity tied to each person's profile. A dedicated Badge Printing Audit Report is also now available.

Classic Client
When a user initiates a print from the Badge Preview tab in the Classic Client, the following events are recorded in Event History:
| Event | When It Is Recorded |
| Badge Print Attempted | A print job is started from the print dialog |
| Badge Printed | The print job completes successfully |
| Badge Print Failed | The print job fails or is cancelled |
The printer name is captured alongside each event where possible. If the printer name cannot be determined, it will appear as [Unknown].

Unified Client – UC Web
The same badge print events are recorded in the UC. However, due to browser security limitations, the behaviour on UC Web differs slightly:
| Event | When It Is Recorded |
| Badge Print Attempted | When the print button is pressed, before the print dialog opens |
| Badge Printed | When the print dialog is closed, regardless of whether the print succeeded, failed, or was cancelled |
Note: Because of browser security restrictions, the printer name cannot be captured on UC Web, and it is not possible to distinguish between a successful print, a failed print, or a cancellation. The Badge Print Failed event is not raised on UC Web.

Badge Printing Audit Report
A dedicated Badge Print Report is now available, providing a full audit trail of badge printing activity across your organization. The report covers attempted prints, successful prints, and failed prints.
Users can filter the report by:
This report helps organizations detect misuse, duplicate prints, or unauthorized badge creation. It is available as an installable package from the Gallery.
Where to Find It
Badge print events appear in the Event History for the relevant person record.
Audit logging is automatic — no additional configuration is required.

People in Area Widget – Auto-Refresh Fix
A bug has been resolved where the People in Area widget was not automatically refreshing based on its configured time frame. The widget now correctly updates at the frequency set in its configuration, without requiring a manual refresh or other workaround.

The licensing flow for Premium Gallery packages has been redesigned. Previously, users were required to pre-purchase Gallery Points before being able to install a Premium package. This process has been reversed to create a simpler, more intuitive experience.
Installing a Premium Package
When a user with the appropriate permissions clicks Install on a Premium Gallery package, a confirmation dialog is displayed showing:
If the user cancels, no installation or licensing occurs. If the user accepts, the package is installed and Gallery Points are automatically licensed at that same moment - no separate licensing step is required.
Points Display
The Gallery will always show Points Available: 0 / [X], where X represents the total points currently licensed based on installed packages. This updates automatically when packages are installed, updated, or uninstalled.
Upgrading a Package
Upgrading a Premium package is included under the annual recurring fee as long as the point cost remains the same. If a new version requires additional points, the difference is automatically applied.
Uninstalling a Package
When a Premium package is uninstalled, the corresponding Gallery Points license is automatically removed. The Points display resets accordingly.
Email Notifications
Users with appropriate permissions receive an email confirmation when a package is installed or uninstalled, including the number of points added or removed from the license.
Installing, updating, or uninstalling Premium packages that carry a Gallery Points cost requires a user to have permission rights for Licensing on Instances. Users without these permissions can still install, upgrade, downgrade, and uninstall packages that have a zero point cost.

Two reports have been updated to include additional instance information:
Detailed Instance Package Installs Report (found in the Gallery Installs Report Package) now includes the Instance Name, Parent Instance Name, and their respective IDs.
Acre Wallet Report (found in the License Report Package) now includes the Instance IDs for both the VAR instance and the end-user instance.
Unnecessary error message when uninstalling a Gallery package An error message was being incorrectly displayed when uninstalling a package from the Gallery. This has been resolved and uninstallation now completes without an erroneous error.
Admin users can now manage any Gallery package Administrators can now change Gallery package ownership and uninstall or update any Gallery package, regardless of which user originally installed it.
