Product Release - Acre Access Control v26.6.1 (Mercury Service) & v25.8.3 (Old Feenics Web Client)

New Features & Improvements

Reduced Background Load from Legacy Hardware Status Events

Component: Mercury Service 26.6.1

acre Access Control no longer publishes a high-volume stream of legacy hardware status change events that current applications no longer use.

Previously, every status change reported by readers, inputs, outputs, and downstream boards generated a continuous stream of events — thousands per minute even during off-peak periods. These events were published, routed, and briefly stored across the system before being automatically discarded a few minutes later. Because up-to-date acre Access Control applications no longer consume them, this activity added significant, around-the-clock load to the event pipeline and storage without providing any benefit.

These events are now disabled by default, removing that continuous load and freeing capacity for other operations across the system.

Current acre Access Control applications are unaffected, as they do not rely on these events. Environments that still run older integrations dependent on hardware status events can have publishing re-enabled at the controller, instance, or client level, so those integrations continue to work without interruption.

Bug Fixes

Classic Client Launched an Outdated Version After SSO Sign-In

Component: Old Feenics Web Client 25.8.3

What was the issue: After the Classic Client was updated, signing in through SSO could launch an older, previously installed version of the client instead of the latest one. When this happened, using Check for Updates incorrectly reported that the client was already up to date. The behavior occurred when an older version of the client had been opened manually at some point, which then caused subsequent SSO sign-ins to keep opening that older version until the latest version was opened manually.

What has been fixed: SSO sign-in now always launches the latest installed version of the Classic Client, regardless of which version was last opened manually. Check for Updates now reflects the correct version state.
